How to request a sworn translation

1. Send your document

Email or WhatsApp a complete, legible PDF or clear photographs.

2. Receive a fixed quote and delivery time

3. Receive your sworn translation

Your translation can be delivered digitally and, where agreed or required, on paper. Always check the receiving authority’s current submission requirements.

Local and remote service

Serving Alicante and Costa Blanca

I work directly with clients in Alicante, across the Province of Alicante and throughout Costa Blanca. You can send documents remotely for review, so an initial visit is not required.

The service remains personal: I review the documents, prepare the quote and complete the sworn translation myself.

Practical support for international residents

Typical situations include moving to Spain, buying or selling property, inheritance, civil registry procedures, pension administration and dealings with Spanish public authorities.

I provide sworn translation, not legal, immigration, tax or property advice.

Property and inheritance

Translations for property matters in Spain

Property transactions often involve documents issued in both the United Kingdom and Spain: deeds, mortgage papers, bank documentation, civil certificates and powers of attorney.

Inheritance involving Spanish property may also require wills, probate documents and civil records to be translated. Send the complete document set and I will confirm the precise scope before starting.

Apostille requirements vary. Whether an apostille is needed depends on the document, its country of issue and the authority receiving it. Confirm the current requirement with that authority before arranging the translation.

Frequently asked questions

Before you send your document

What is a sworn translation?

It is a translation completed, signed and certified by a Sworn Translator-Interpreter appointed by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Is a sworn translation valid in Spain?

Sworn translations completed by an officially appointed translator are used before Spanish authorities. The receiving authority decides which documents and formalities are required.

Do I need the original document?

A complete, legible copy is usually enough for a quote and initial review. Ask the receiving authority whether it requires the original or a particular form of submission.

Can I send a PDF or photo?

Yes. Send the full document as a clear PDF or sharp photographs, including stamps, signatures and apostilles where present.

Do you work with British documents?

Yes. Examples include ACRO and DBS certificates, Companies House documents, UK birth and marriage certificates, pension and HMRC documents, and powers of attorney.

Can you translate documents for property or inheritance?

Yes. I translate deeds, mortgage documents, powers of attorney, wills, civil certificates and related documentation between English and Spanish.

Do you serve clients outside Alicante?

Yes. Documents can be handled remotely for clients elsewhere in the province, across Costa Blanca and beyond. Paper delivery can be discussed when needed.
